Individuals
If you have anxiety or depression, you are likely living with old patterns that have not been fully examined. Dr. Rauch believes, as do other body psychotherapists, that these patterns are organized consistently in your mind as well as in your body. Through the use of awareness and understanding, as well as movement and touch, old patterns can be broken and allow you to make alternative choices in ways to live your life.
Couples
Immediately after completing her Masters degree in Counseling, Dr. Rauch completed the 2 year and then 1 year Advanced Program at the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland for Couples Families and Small Systems.
Athletes
Dr. Rauch enjoys working with all ranges of sport participants from the professional athlete to the “weekend warrior.” Dr. Rauch has experience as a professional tennis player on the WITA circuit. She has also taught snow skiing at Vail Resorts in Colorado for a number of years. Most of her life her Dr. Rauch has identitified herself as an elite athlete. It was only in the past 10 years that her life’s work shifted toward academics and body work. Recently, Dr. Rauch taught Sports Psychology at Belmont Abbey College and realized that working with athletes as a body psychotherapist is a perfect fit for her life’s experiences.
